Around 85% of Amateur golfers struggle with slicing the golf ball which usually leads to a lack of distance and inconsistent striking. Here is Instructor Richard Spence with a drill to help cancel off that slice and put some distance back in your game.

DONT!

Most golfer that slice do so because on the downswing the club is too far outside of the ball to target line then from there its easier for the body to pull the arms/hands across the ball in a cutting/chopping motion that produces a clockwise spinning effect on the golf call resulting in the ball curving to the right in the air.

DO!

To help cancel off those unwanted slice shots heres a great drill to help you

put a alignment stick on the floor on the ball to target line, on the downswing feel the golf club staysyour side of the line for longer and as your hitting the ball feel the club swing to the right of the alignment stick

doing this will cancel off that unwanted slice spin and start to increases your distance.
